DueLead is run by [operator name, company number and address to be added], the data controller for the information below. Contact us about privacy at privacy@duelead.com.
DueLead helps finance brokers authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority find UK businesses that may need finance, such as a loan, refinancing, invoice finance or asset finance. We do this by reading public records about companies and spotting events like a new loan registered against a company.
| Information | Source |
|---|---|
| Company details: name, number, status, registered office, industry codes, filed accounts, charges (secured loans) | Companies House public register |
| Directors and people with significant control: name, role, appointment date, and shareholding band | Companies House public register |
| Business contact details: company website, business phone numbers and business email addresses | The company's own website, and its Google Maps business listing |
| A link to a director's public LinkedIn profile, when it names their company | Public web search results |
We don't collect home addresses, dates of birth, or anything about people's private lives. Business data about companies isn't personal data, but names, named email addresses and LinkedIn links are, and we treat them that way.
We use this information under legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): helping businesses be introduced to finance that may suit them, using information that is already public and only for business-to-business contact. We've assessed that this doesn't override the rights of the people concerned, because:
We collect this information from public sources, not from you. Contacting every director to tell you about it would take disproportionate effort, so this notice is how we inform you (UK GDPR Article 14(5)(b)).
Only DueLead member brokers, who are FCA-authorised firms or their appointed representatives. They see a lead's company name, people and contact details only after claiming it, and only one broker works a lead at a time. We don't sell or publish lists. Our service providers process data on our behalf, under contract: our server host, our email provider, and our web-search provider.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, object to our use of it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@duelead.com or use the form below. We'll reply within one month. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
